Why should I use Beard Wash instead of regular shampoo? (I like the beard guy and all…just wondering)
Doug S, Portland OR
The average male has 30k beard hairs on his face. Beard hair is thicker, coarser and curlier than the average head hair. It also tends to be dryer. Most shampoos for head hair have sulfates and other aggressive surfactants because head hair tends to be oilier. Beard hair needs a gentler, more conditioning cleanser such as Beard Wash which contains moisturizing agents such as aloe, soy protein and green tea extract. Beard wash helps prevent beard breakage and beard dryness.
What’s the purpose of a beard oil? I know what oil does for my engine but how can it help my beard?
Jose G, Encino CA
Sebaceous glands in your face keep your facial hair hydrated to some extent, roughly up to a 5 o’clock shadow. However past this length and the sebaceous glands cannot keep up. Your beard then becomes dry and brittle resulting in beard breakage and split ends along with itchiness and flakes. Our beard oils are formulated with sunflower, sweet almond and avocado oils to hydrate, soften and strengthen your beard and moisturize the skin underneath. They effectively solve itch and flakes while ensuring full, healthy beard growth.
What’s the difference been your beard oils and Beard Quencher? I’m intrigued by Beard Quencher since I’ve not seen too many products like this in the market.
Mike J, Dallas TX
Beard oils are topical in nature and tend to hydrate your beard a little more than your skin. Beard Quencher is a specially formulated beard and face moisturizer that also penetrates to especially hydrate your skin underneath. If you are battling itch and dreaded “beardruff” we recommend Beard Quencher. It has shea butter, black oat seed and panthenol to protect your beard and skin and lock in moisture.
Why should I use Beard Control versus your beard oils? Can I use just one or do you recommend I use both?
Nasser G, Miami FL
You can actually use both! Beard Control is a leave-in conditioner with light styling properties. It locks in nutrients while keeping harmful pollutants out. It has a proprietary blend of aloe, jojoba seed oil and panthenol to soften and strengthen your beard. Our beard oils contain both carrier and essential oils to provide moisture and nutrients to the beard. They improve the health, texture, volume and look of the beard. We recommend first using a quarter-sized amount of Beard Control worked into your dry or mostly dry beard, from bottom to top. Comb to evenly distribute product. Then apply a few drops of beard oil to seal in moisture, reduce inflammation and improve your beard’s smell.
